COACHING
At some
level, every student must
learn independently of
the instructor. Homework,
reading , and other assignments
must be done
without you.To succeed, the
student must learn HOW
TO LEARN.A COACH
must train athletes
to do their
best work in
the one place
the coach can”t
go-----on the field.So you
must train your
students to learn
in your absence.You
will have direct
supervision for only
a year or
so, but they
will need SKILLS
that will last
a LIFETIME.
Teach
them DISCIPLINE and
ORGANIZATION so they
can complete assignments.When you
expect the best, more
than likely you
will receive their
best efforts.When you
make EXCUSES and
rationalize their FAILURES,
STUDENTS will learn
to excuse their
behavior. A coach doesn”t
succeed by making
excuses for his
or her players.Rather, a
coach succeeds by
expecting their best
efforts.Those disciplines last
long after the
lights on the
playing field have
been diminished.They are
learned behaviours that
manifest themselves in
other areas of
life as well.
Coach
good study habits.Your
students will become
CHAMPIONS.
“Do your best
to present yourself
to GOD as
one approved , a workman
who does not
need to be
ashamed and who
correctly handles the
word of truth.” ---- 2 Timothy
